This is the 17th year I get to make a positive impact in the lives of teenagers. My mission is to create a space for students to be their best self, grow their minds in math, and build confidence one solution at a time.
Ms. Algebra is a beautiful error from a student's attempt to call me for help in one of my classes. Instead of saying Ms. Anthony, she slipped and called me Ms. Algebra. My self and the class had the biggest laugh and from that moment on the students call me Ms. Algebra, even now though they have all graduated from high school.
I am a firm believer that all students can learn and do math. It may not be at the same rate as other students and they may not understand the concepts on the same day. However, at their pace and in their own way learning is most definitely possible. The goal is for my students to do the best that they can, believe in themselves and slowly but surely build confidence one solution at a time.
